Jimmy Greaves 1965/66

In the quarter final win against France, Joseph Bonnel parked his studs in Greaves’ shin, leading to the striker having 14 stitches to close a nasty wound. Having missed the semi final due to injury England’s greatest ever goal botherer  was dropped for the Final.
